MONK'S CREATIONS

FR. MICAH is a mostly self-taught wood craftsman. Beginning a few years ago making end/night tables and bookshelves, he has expanded his repertoire to include a variety of furniture. He uses several different kinds wood, preferring especially cherry and oak. Danish oil is a favorite finish. Influenced by the historical Cistercian monastic style of simplicity, Fr. Micah’s work reflects that.

Many of his pieces originate from an urge to create in wood, but he is also open to special orders. He can be contacted via email: mikamonk7@icloud.com or telephone 970/279- 4400, ext. 29. You can request a showing at the carpenter shop, which has a display room with a selection of furniture.
